If you've been in this biz a while, you probably recall that OSA was a dude that used to service API consoles way back in the day.. then developed his 500 series pre amps that rivaled API's. This was way before anyone really did the 500 series thing ( aside from API of course). Anyway.. this pre was a limited edition run. Rumor has it under 50 of these were made. The custom transformer was meant to be an exact to a Melville API.. and having had done a test personally against the real one. OSA nailed it. This sounds like a vintage API pre. Anyway... i am no longer doing the 500 series thing here in my studio. Would like to see it go to someone who will use it and love it. Works great, sounds amazing!.
