Epiphone EJ200-SCE/VS Vintage Sunburst 2020 Electro Acoustic Guitar

Here for sale we have the Epiphone EJ200-SCE/VS Electro Acoustic Guitar in Vintage Sunburst finish. Built in 2020 in Indonesia, this guitar features a Solid Spruce top with Select Maple back and sides, and a Hard Maple neck topped with a 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard. A Fishman Sonicore under-saddle pickup and Presys preamp is fitted with controls for a master volume, Nanoflex EQ, NanoMag EQ, blend, phase and a tuner. 

The Slim Taper neck sits comfortably in the hand and provides easy reach in all registers. The 14” radius feels flat and consistent right the way up the fingerboard, ensuring that both chording and melody lines are a breezy affair. The cutaway provides unrestricted access to the higher frets, whilst the smooth lines of the body feel great in both seated and standing positions, allowing the musician to indulge in playing this beautifully constructed instrument for extended periods of time.

The Jumbo sized body of the EJ200 produces a loud voice. The Solid Spruce top and Select Maple back and sides contribute to a bright and lively tone, whilst maintaining a strong midrange and clear high-end. The Fishman Sonicore under-saddle pickup is highly responsive and provides excellent string-to-string balance, making it ideal for both strumming and fingerpicking. The Fishman Sonicore provides a warm, full-bodied sound with excellent clarity and definition. It is designed to capture the nuances of the guitar's top and provide a more natural and organic voice. Together with the controls this instrument provides a broad palette for the user to explore.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, circular scratching is apparent surrounding the G machine head. The finish has begun to blush slightly, which we have been unable to remove through regular buffing and polishing. The top edge demonstrates a chip to the rear, which reveals the wood beneath. 

Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.

Body: Overall very good condition, the lower bout demonstrates multiple instances of indentation cracking the finish in places. The worst of these slightly chips the finish towards the bass side of the lower bout. Light scratching is apparent to all aspects of the body, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most notable to the bottom side of the instrument. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
