API 505 DI modules, taken from API 205L and specifically designed for guitar, bass, or keyboards, are for sale.
They minimise the risks of loading effects from Hi-Z instruments and normalise an instrument's input level up to +4dBu to optimise the signal through the rest of your equipment. It features a tone control that helps reduce low-frequency muddiness in your signal control, and a brightness control that adds clarity, reducing the need to sculpt the sound with EQ at the recording stage.
I used them with virtual synthesisers, feeding the outputs into the DI's input and using the tone parameters to make them sound likeher than plug-ins. There are two for sale (for stereo use), but the price is for one real synths rat unit.
They're both in full working condition. The photos say more than words can. My reason for selling is genuine: I want to finance some new gear.
I might have the original boxes, but I'm not sure. If not, they will be packaged securely for shipping. If you really need the box, SX Pro is selling them for £629 each.
