Korg Mini Pops 7 - Collector’s condition with all accessories, total restored. Oxygène, Équinoxe, etc.

The Korg (Keio) Mini-Pops 7 released in 1966, featured 15 drums sounds and 20 patterns. This machine is one of the defining drum machines in the history of electronic music.

Jean-Michel Jarre used it throughout his breakthrough album, Oxygene. Some rhythms were achieved by overlaying two of the presets in a manner not intended by the machine's original design. Équinoxe Part V, VI and VII featured the Rock 1 pattern.

Aphex Twin used it on his album Syro, and in homage named a single "minipops 67 [120.2]". Echo and the Bunnymen also used the Mini-Pops 7 drum machine.

Notice: Univox SR-95 is not same! A variant of this instrument was sold in the US under the Univox brand, as the Univox SR-95. This featured slightly different "Beguine" and "Slow Rock" rhythms, and was missing the rimshot of the Mini-Pops 7.

This Mini Pops 7 has been found in rare and beautiful condition. It has undergone a complete restoration without compromise. It is now in collector's condition as it has all the accessories. So, the factory pedal, the rarer version and dust cover are in nice condition.

The restoration naturally included the replacement of the capacitors. We used the best audio quality capacitors (Nichicon Fine Gold). This is particularly important for the signal path. It is now quite amazingly dynamic and has the original sound back.

The potentiometers have also been cleaned, de-oxidised and lubricated with a special material. New inserts were laser cut under the switches. The instrument also received a missing foam foot.

It's one of the secret weapons of many producers and a must for lovers of analogue electronic instruments.

Notice 2: If required, after purchase, MIDI integration with tempo sync can be arranged by agreement. Independent outputs per sound are also possible. However, this particular instrument has such a beautiful chinrest that we would regret making the necessary holes.
