What makes this guitar special? This is a cool Japanese-made Epiphone from the early ‘80s that has some vintage vibe and a good amount of playability. The soft V neck is comfortable and easy to move around, plus makes the wider 12-string nut feel more manageable. The guitar’s tone is a bit subdued in the lows, but has a nice rich mid-range that extends into a creamy but articulate high end. It has aged gracefully and darkened a bit in tint and tone, but has an undeniable warmth that makes it that much cooler.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does have light scratches throughout the neck and body from being played, as well as small dings and finish wear, but otherwise is still in great shape. The frets do show light wear, but still have a lot of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Round-shouldered body with tortoiseshell-bound laminated spruce top and mahogany back and sides in Natural finish. Rosewood bridge with uncompensated saddle. White bridge pins w/ black dots. Red tortoise pickguard. 3-ring rosette.

Neck: Soft V shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Rosewood headstock overlay. 25.5” scale. 1.875” nut width.

Weight: 5 lbs 3 oz

Playability/Sound: The soft V shape neck is comfortable, full-in-hand, and makes the wider nut width less noticeable. The tone has a subdued low end, rich mid-range, and crisp high-end, all of which has matured with a little extra warmth across the spectrum.

Case: Includes hardshell case.
