I am selling my beloved Fender 1962 Reissue Stratocaster in Olympic White to fund a neck reset on my everyday player 1969 Gibson B25. Such is life :(

This old Strat is an early N-Serial Stratocaster from 1995-96 built for Fender at the legendary FujiGen plant in Japan. It’s an ST-62 with a beautiful dark 7.25 radius slab Indian Rosewood fingerboard, great sounding pickups, 3 ply mint pickguard.

I've put a bit of money into this Guitar, as it was a little bit of a project for me:

  • +  £421 : Has just had a professional setup, level, and re-fret with Dunlop JD6105's 2.36mm X 1.5mm (a good tip from watching that Pedal Show) the work was done by the Guitar Engineer in Tring - so it is ready to play - check him out on Instagram - he's the real deal, and works on Guitars ten times more expensive than this:
  • + £10 : It has a Monty's Treble bleed fitted: .
  • + £20 : Have added 5 new Fender tremolo springs - will supply the two originals also - see pictures.
  • + £29 : Comes with Schaller Strap S-Locks fitted: supply original strap buttons and the box for the Schaller S-Locks. See pictures.
  • + £22 : Replacement tremolo arm.
  • + £55 : I found a vintage Japanese traditional Fender Strat/Tele Gigbag.
  • + £70 : Have had a unbleached Bone Nut put into it from the same engineer noted above.

Some other details that I would want to know if buying:

  • Set up with 9- 42s. Currently has Elixir Nanowebs.
  • All the plastics have naturally yellowed and the metal hardware has taken on a nice dull patina over the decades - looks really cool in person.
  • Plenty of naturally earned wear and nothing bad has ever happened to it, basically all the good ageing and none of the bad.
  • Structurally and electrically sound - all checked out by the Guitar tech noted above (the Guitar engineer).
  • The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine.
  • No issues at all. No breaks or repairs.
  • Weight 3.3kg.
  • Lots of playwear as you’d expect, it looks pretty cool with heaps of mojo.
  • There lots of tiny nicks & scuffs on the body - I'll take general photos, but this is a guitar that has been gigged and is 29 years old - so it has more marks on it than I can take photos of.
  • No plastic backplate but these can be had for very little.

A quality built 90's FujiGen ’62 RI Strat, you won’t go wrong with this old beauty. All pictures are of actual guitar.

All receipts that are pictured will be included in the sale.

Any questions let me know, and I'll do my best to answer.
