Vintage VRS100 Transparent Purple 2003 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Vintage VRS100 Electric Guitar in Transparent Purple finish. Made in Korea in 2003, this guitar features a Eastern Poplar body with a Maple top, Maple neck and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured a Wilkinson WVP Tremolo bridge and sealed tuning machines. Two Wilkinson Double Coil humbuckers are featured that are wired to a 3-way selector, master volume and a master tone with a push/pull coil tap.

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand providing a comfortable and ergonomic playing surface. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck provides effortless navigation up and down the neck, whilst the 10" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing experience right the way up the register. The double cutaway body design provides great access to the higher frets, great for those fast lead lines

The Wilkinson Double Coil humbuckers in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The coil-tap allows the player to access even more tones, splitting the humbuckers to get single coil-style sounds. This is great when softer tones are needed and provides the player with plenty of room for tonal sculpting.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, a moderate indentation is apparent to the top edge. This chips the finish and is visible when viewing the front face. Any other markings are difficult to discern. 

Neck: Overall excellent condition, very light scratching is apparent to the rear of the neck. These markings are only visible under direct lighting at certain angles and cannot be felt under the thumb in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates minimal markings.

Body: Overall very good condition, light yet consistent scratching is apparent to all aspects of the body. These markings are only visible under direct lighting at certain angles and cannot be felt under the finger. The treble side horn demonstrates a finish imperfection, which cannot be felt under the finger. There is some chipping to the surround of the tremolo cavity, revealing the wood beneath.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod adjustment tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
