Introducing the Gibson Custom Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue, a faithful recreation of the iconic 1960 model. In 1958, the Les Paul Junior and Special underwent significant enhancements, including double cutaways for improved fingerboard access. However, it was in 1960 that the Special truly came into its own, boasting a lower pickup placement and a slim neck taper for enhanced robustness and playability. The Custom Shop takes pride in meticulously replicating this TV Yellow version, ensuring these reissues are both structurally and visually identical to the coveted vintage originals.

Crafted with a solid Mahogany body and neck, featuring no weight relief and a Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish, this Les Paul exudes authenticity. The 12" radius Indian Rosewood fretboard with Pearloid Dot inlays hosts 22 Authentic Medium-Jumbo frets on a 24.75" scale length, providing a comfortable and familiar playing experience.

The sonic powerhouse lies in the pair of mean and fiery P-90 pickups, delivering a versatile range from sparkling cleans to crunchy distortion. With features like Kluson Strip tuners, a wraparound bridge, Switchcraft pickup selector and output jack, CTS 500K Audio Taper Pots, and Paper-In-Oil Capacitors, this guitar ensures impeccable tuning stability and consistently delivers the best tone every time.

Please Note: This guitar has occurred some natural lacquer checking - as seen in the product images. Whilst this is entirely expected after a short period due to the nitro VOS finish, it is not how it would come straight from the factory.
