This is a 1979-ish (serial numbers are a bit vague) Mockingbird Standard in the rare Maple with Walnut stringers made by Bernie Rico and Neal Moser.
This Mockingbird was made in the same period as the red one seen used by Slash. His is also a Maple bodied with Walnut stringers.
This guitar is completely standard, with zero fret wear and apart from the strap buttons, no modifications. I've owned this guitar for 28 years and still has its original case which is in great condition apart from the handle that broke off a few years back.
This Mockingbird, like almost all of them, plays like a wet dream, and is extremely well set up.
It features a locking Kahler Tremolo, which in my opinion is a far better design than a Floyd Rose. Naturally this has fine tuners. A rarity in guitars of this age is the fact that it has the original Grover tuners, but still with its original 'Imperial' buttons.
I am genuinely loathed to part with this one as I know that i will never find another example as good as this, but sadly, needs must!
