This official Fender Stratocaster S-1 Switch Volume Knob Cap is required to activate the switching function on Fender's S-1 Switch potentiometers. The cap has an actuator that fits onto the switch through the centre of the pot shaft (once the cap has been pushed onto the switch it stays there with friction until you choose to remove it) and it has a second locating lug on the underside that matches with a hole in the top of Fender's S-1 Switch control knobs to ensure it rotates with the knob (so the word volume always appears in its normal position spanning from the number 8 to 3). Fender Stratocaster S-1 Switch Control Knobs are required for use with this cap and are available separately from us.
