6mm Potentiometer Shaft Metal Coupler Extender Joiner extension pot shafts

This is a Gold anodised Aluminium coupler designed to attach an extension rod to any modern metric 6mm round shaft potentiometer (brass extension shafts available separately). Use of this coupler with an extension pot shaft allows preamplifier circuits to be located (or recessed) within a cabinet away from the front panel without the need to run long wires to a front panel mounted pot. You will need to use 6mm Brass (or other) rod on the other side of the coupler for the extension shaft, available through several eBay suppliers.

Note that this coupler would need to be drilled out to 6.5mm to fit vintage British or US made 1/4" pot shafts. Also, although each end has two threaded holes, it is only supplied with two grub screws in total, which may be fitted in either of the holes at each end quite securely enough to hold.

This coupler is supplied with grub screws for fixing, (which may be used for flat sided or "D" shaped shafts as well as round shafted pots.
