Hello ladies and germs, I have a neat set here for you today. This is a
vintage set of BREV mid 50's-60's 3 on a strip tuning machines. These
sets were standard issue on higher end vintage EKO/VOX/CRUCIANELLI
guitars from the time period and are exceptionally nice. Very
reminiscent of an italian version of the Kluson sealed tuners from this
time period, with a nice unshrunk-solid set of creme butterbean knobs.
These can be fairly difficult to find, especially here in the US, simply
because there were less of them that survived. Neatly stamped covers
that are riveted onto the plate. Very little play, pretty much
comparable to actual 50's Klusons in feel, look, and quality. Some of
these were stamped with the EKO brand, but this style has two Treble
Clef stamps. All posts are clean and straight. These must have sat in a
relatively temperature controlled area, because the original oil applied
is still viscous and doing its job. These are a MAJOR step up from the 3
on a plate open style slot head tuning machines found on lesser
instruments of the time and would be a fantastic retrofit for any slot
head instrument, and a stylish one at that. As always I do consider all
offers, but I am picky, as I am sure you are. Price is
fairly set on these, as an imported replacement set of comparable style
and quality are about the same price. Plating is really pretty, with
some slight pitting but no open rust etc. Posts are in fantastic shape,
really just a solid, beautifully made, stylish set of Nickel plated
tuners ready for your next project or restoration. Also includes the
original slot headed mounting screw in fantastic shape. Here they are
folks, COME AND GET 'EM.
