The GL1 Guitalele uses regular nylon strings and is tuned like a guitar that has been capo'd at the fifth frets - A D G C E A - meaning you can just play your regular guitar chord shapes, it'll just sound higher pitched.
As for construction, the body is made of laminated Meranti back and sides with a laminated Spruce top. The neck is made of Nato and is topped with a Sonokeling fingerboard.
For guitarists wanting some of the Ukulele action, the Yamaha GL1 Guitalele is a great little option. It even includes a gigbag too, meaning you can take it with you to festivals, the park or for that acoustic jam!
