EP Custom Jazzmaster Pickups - Vintage Correct Hand Wound (Formvar)

These vintage correct pickups are made with aged bobbins, Alnico 5 magnets, 42 awg Formvar wire (we also offer enamel-coated; please state preference/any questions will be answered promptly), push-back cloth wire and are wax potted. They are hand wound and hand constructed as individual sets, giving them unique tone and compatibility. They are also RWRP (reverse-wound, reverse-polarity), so they are hum-canceling when both pickups are engaged in the middle switch position. Each pickup is wound over 8,000 times and has a DC resistance averaging 7.6k ohm. The bridge pickup is slightly hotter then the neck pickup, which makes for easy pickup height setting. Available in gray or black bobbins

There are very few aftermarket pickups that stay true to the sound, shape, and look of the pre-CBS Jazzmaster. It is our goal to make great sounding pickups based on the specs of the originals - and these pickups are made to look and sound the way a Jazzmaster is supposed to.
