Get ready to rock!!! For those of you that are not familiar with active guitar electronics, these pickups are powered by a standard 9v battery (1 battery should last you about 2000 playing hours and is only drained when your guitar is plugged in).
The power from the 9v battery is used to power a tiny Active Internal Preamp built inside the pickup (in the case of these pickups, the preamp increases sustain, adds depth, and enhances overall response sensitivity. They actually have more power and output than 5 standard humbuckers combined, and they read out at about 57k Ohms. However, each pickup is Epoxy Potted to control unwanted noise and feedback. Be sure to check out the so you can hear them rip!!!Ì´Ì_
The pickups will come to you, safely packaged, along with Mounting Screws & Height Adjustment Springs, 9v Battery Clip, & Stereo Input Jack. Like with all other active pickups, it is recommended that you use Control Pots rated at 25k, if you need some we have them available. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
