2015 Hofner Gold Label 500/1-MBU Violin Bass Walnut Stained Birdseye Maple

Here's a gently used and all around amazing Gold-Label Hofner. The body is a very pretty birds-eye maple-- top included-- and it's mated to a rare all-mahogany neck. Both are not common sights on a Hofner but construction wise it's the same classic Hofner formula: fully hollow body, big comfy neck, 30.5" scale, and flat-wound strings. It all adds up to be a tone monster. It's top notch all around and is one of the best Hofners we've had in a long time. It was recently traded in to our shop but it has very low play time. No real wear outside of the finish checking on the top of the bass that you can see in the photos. It came with the black case in the photos but we're going to ship it in a brand new Hofner "tweed" case that they're using on their current production pieces.
