Hofner Club 50 1960 Natural / Blonde

This is a great old guitar that has a great sound. It isn't in perfect condition, as there are few scratches and dings, but considering it is over 50 years old, it is very nice, The most important things to note is the missing piece of veneer next to the neck heel, and the crack in the neck heel. The crack does look like it goes into the wood, but the neck is structurally stable and doesn't move at all when pressure is applied and I believe it is only cosmetic. The turners have been upgraded, otherwise this guitar is original.

Everything works, it is perfectly playable, and has a lovely sound that takes you back to the 60s.

John Lennon played a Hofner Club 40 guitar when the Beatles were in Hamburg, and Paul McCartney has played a Hofner bass throughout his career. Hofner instruments from this period are now very collectible, and have become more so now that they have been reissued. Not many of these guitars pop up for sale any more.

This is a great guitar to play, and should be played. However, please note that it would not suit being your main gigging instrument.

The guitar comes with the original case, but that is in poor but functional condition.
