Base 4 Stands SIDEKICK Drum Kit 2026 - Black

Base 4 SIDEKICK Drum Kit Bundle – Stand with 3 Additional Arms (12", 16" & 20")

The Sidekick Drum Kit Bundle gives you everything you need to mic the snare side of a drum kit from just one stand. The bundle includes the Base 4 Sidekick stand with its 24" main arm, plus three additional arms in 12", 16" and 20" lengths, so you can hold four mics on one stand straight out of the box.

The Sidekick is Base 4’s mid-sized, go-anywhere stand. It has a riser of around 30" and a top-mounted 24" arm, which makes it ideal for close-miking drums, vocals, seated performers, guitar amps and much more. The Drum Kit Set is the same as the SIDEKICK but it comes with 3 additional arms - 12, 16, 20" arms

Built from lightweight structural aluminium with zero plastic parts, the Sidekick weighs just 2.2kg yet is strong enough to hold several heavy tube and ribbon mics without tipping or slipping. Its four-leg base keeps it stable, and the oversized non-slip rubber feet help damp vibration and won’t dry out or crack. The arm attaches through a ball-and-socket joint with a thumbwheel clamp and a ratcheted locking lever. You can point it in any direction, and once it’s locked it stays exactly where you put it. A Base 4 Jam Nut is included to stop your mic clip from rotating under the weight of the mic.

Fully modular. Every Base 4 tube shares the same grooved profile, so extra arms can be clamped anywhere on the stand: along the riser, onto another arm, or even onto the legs. On the snare side of a drum kit, one Sidekick can easily replace four conventional stands, covering the snare top, snare bottom, kick and hi-hat. That saves floor space and makes cable runs much tidier. Extension arms (12", 16", 20") and Stub Mounts can be purchased separately, so you can grow your setup as your needs change.

As reviewed in Sound On Sound. In his March 2026 review, Sound On Sound editor Sam Inglis used the Sidekick to close-mic the snare side of his drum kit. With extra arms holding the under-snare, kick and hi-hat mics, every mic stayed put, with no wobble or droop. Read the full review at Soundonsound.
