About this model

The Universal Audio 710 Twin-Finity is a single-channel hybrid microphone preamp and instrument DI that pairs a Class-A tube stage (12AX7/ECC83) with a transimpedance solid-state stage. The two phase-aligned paths are mixed with a central Blend knob, from 100% solid-state to 100% tube, so you can dial in anything from clean transient bite to warm tube colour. It offers XLR mic and line inputs, a front-panel 1/4" Hi-Z instrument input, and a balanced XLR line output, with over 70dB of total gain. Separate Gain and Level controls let you manage drive and coloration independently, and a backlit VU meter switches between output and drive levels. Phantom power (+48V), a -15dB pad, a 75Hz low-cut filter and phase inversion are all onboard, in a half-rack 2U all-metal chassis with a universal auto-sensing power supply.
