The Gibson J-35 was originally introduced in the 1930s as a more affordable alternative to the company's higher specification acoustics, and has since become a popular choice for players looking for that classic prewar Gibson sound. This 2015 reissue takes its inspiration from those early round shoulder dreadnoughts, with a natural finish, a Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides.
The traditional construction gives the J-35 a warm, woody voice with plenty of midrange character and a nice open response, making it particularly well suited to strumming and flatpicking. The banner style Gibson logo on the headstock adds a further vintage touch, helping to capture the look of the original prewar guitars.
This guitar is in very good condition, with minimal signs of play wear, and comes complete with its original Gibson case.
This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
