Old-School rack module from E-MU systems and quite a rare beast now! Mo’Phatt was the follow-up to Planet Phatt – one of the first three modules released by E-MU – Planet Phatt, Dance Planet and Carnaval. They are aimed at dance & hip-hop music producers

Mo’Phatt now has 512 factory and two upgradeable SIMM slots for additional sound banks. It has 64-note polyphony and is 16-part multitimbral. It has 50 different 12th‑order resonant and modelling filters, two effects processors, 16 arpeggiators and a Super Beats mode

“The whole point of an E-mu module is the synth engine and programming. Unlike the more refined and heavily efx processed Roland and Korg sounds, E-mu is like home cooking, and you only really get out of it what you put in”

“Anyone who has dabbled with the Planet Phatt will know what to expect — namely, a vast and credible slice of ultra‑cool, laid‑back R&B, hip‑hop, funk and rap material, expertly presented for maximum effect” – Sound on Sound
