This instrument is in excellent condition, with no repairs.

This is a deluxe version of the SG, featuring three pickups, an ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, and a Bigsby vibrato. The currently installed Bigsby is not original to the guitar, although it is also a B5-style unit.

The neck is undoubtedly one of this guitar’s greatest assets. It still retains its original low-profile frets, making it one of the famous “Fretless Wonder” models. You barely need to press the strings against the fingerboard to produce a note, which is quite remarkable. Playing this guitar feels incredibly effortless, almost liberating, with exceptionally easy and virtually unrestricted access to the upper frets. You naturally find yourself exploring the entire length of the neck, with that exhilarating feeling that absolutely nothing is getting in the way of your playing.

The three pickups also provide a rather distinctive and very interesting range of tones. The guitar is currently wired with the neck pickup in the upper switch position, all three pickups together in the middle position, and the bridge and middle pickups in the lower position. Of course, you can experiment with different wiring configurations if you wish. This is very common with three-pickup guitars, and such modifications are easily reversible.
