For sale is a very rare and very cool Lomo 19a18 valve microphone with original shock mount. I got this set off Mike over at Soviet mics/Russian Recording a few years back and it’s been a staple in all my recordings. I love it for anything strung or even kit/room mics on drums. It recently had the capsule reskinned by Rico at Mikrofon Union (Thiersch’s protégé) as the centre tap had oxidised as they all do in this capsule model with age. It’s working better than ever and should provide years of service before needing another service.

Mike said it was one of the best he’d had and I second that, there’s a reason Steve Albini also loved them too. Think somewhere between a classic valve Neumann SDC with a hair of vintage schoepps. Will be packaged extra securely!
