The ART MPA Gold is a two-channel, rack-mountable tube microphone and instrument preamplifier designed to add analog warmth, clarity, and headroom to digital or analog recording setups.

Vacuum Tubes: Uses two 12AX7 vacuum tubes (differential Class-A design). 

Selectable Plate Voltage: Switches between "Normal" (for classic tube saturation and warmth) and "High" (for increased headroom and a wider frequency response).

Variable Input Impedance: Continuously adjustable (typically 150 to 3,000 ohms) to tailor microphone loading and frequency response for dynamic, condenser, or ribbon mics. 

Gain Structure: Features a primary input gain control with an extra +20 dB boost switch for low-output microphones. 

Filters & Controls: Includes a variable low-cut (high-pass) filter, phase reversal, +48V phantom power, and selectable stereo or dual-mono operation. 

Metering: Large analog VU meters paired with multi-color "Tube Warmth" LED meters to monitor signal and drive levels. 

Connections: Rear XLR mic inputs alongside balanced XLR and 1/4" line outputs, plus front-panel 1/4" instrument/DI inputs.
