A very clean example of a 2011 Marshall 1960AV 4x12 angled speaker cabinet, fitted with its original quartet of UK-made Celestion G12 Vintage speakers.
The 1960AV is the Vintage-equipped version of Marshall’s classic 1960A cabinet, using four Celestion G12 Vintage 70W speakers. These are Marshall-spec versions of the Vintage 30, delivering plenty of midrange presence, tight low end and excellent projection — a great match for everything from classic JMP and JCM 800 heads through to more modern high-gain Marshalls.
This example remains in very good overall condition, particularly for a 15-year-old working cabinet. The original black tolex presents extremely well, with just a few small marks from normal use. The grille cloth, Marshall logo, corner protectors, handles and castors are all in similarly tidy condition.
Internally, the cabinet retains its original Celestion G12 Vintage speakers, model T3897B, rated at 16 ohms each and manufactured in the UK. The cabinet is therefore still exactly the speaker configuration that gives the 1960AV its characteristic sound.
