Studer Clone Eq 169 2023 - Silver

Hi, for sale here is a pair of Studer 169 eq clones built on boards from the now defunct pcb grinder,

I built these for myself to be usable for 2bus work as well as tracking and mixing duties hence, I went a little bit nuts on the components for the build to ensure that the two units would be very well matched and sound excellent.

They feature 4 Sparkos Labs Op Amps per unit 2x SS2590 and 2x SS3601

For those who are interested.....

I skipped the transformer on this build to ensure clarity and maximum bandwidth from the op amps,

nos 2% Phillips ks polystyrene caps in the high end (similar to the original unit)

Nos Erro polystyrene and wima in the mid and bass,

resistors are PRP and Takman 1%,

Nichicon electrolytic's,

Nos military grade Kemet ceramics,

Omeg dual pots with centre dent on the gain knobs, British made,

Face plate and L bracket supplied by frank at Front Panels.de,

expensive and hard to find nos knobs,

Reading all that back, i want to keep them, but i do have two more pairs

and its time to downsize a bit.

They sound very good.
