Siemens Sitral set of 2 x U274 talkback mic preamp / limiter combination, family of V276 and U273.

For sale this set of 2 x 1960’s Siemens Sitral U274 “Kommandoverstärkers” or in English “talk back preamps”. The U274 comes from the same line of modules as V276, U273 etc and are equipped with the same high end transformers as the aforementioned. These are microphone preamps with 6 steps of crude gain (44, 50, 56, 62, 68 and 74dB) and a on/off limiter that clamps on to your signal like a bench vice. The U274 is actually a nice sounding preamp with some roughness around the edges and a limiter that will smash everything in signal when engaged. You can use these for specific microphone duties, the creation of a certain effect or a just nice sounding preamps. People have been known to be adventurous and modify them with extended possibility of use. Both have been tested, are fully functional and in original vintage condition. The modules have not been recapped and the switches are a bit dusty when switching but these details are woven in to the price, I assume buyer will take care of these service details. Imho the overall condition of these is great, they are original examples with relatively clean front panels. Included with these modules are 2 x fitting used female connectors for connecting them. I am not responsible for connecting or housing them you need to consult your own specialist. PDF schematics for these are available after sale.
