Fender Japan TL-52 SPL “Micawber” Telecaster in a natural gloss finish, dating from approximately 2004–2005. The guitar is marked Crafted in Japan and has serial number R006420.

This model is commonly known as the “Micawber” because of its Keith Richards-inspired pickup configuration. It features a traditional Telecaster bridge single-coil pickup and a chrome-covered neck humbucker, giving it the familiar Telecaster bite alongside a fuller, warmer neck sound.

The guitar has a solid body, maple neck and maple fingerboard, black pickguard, six-saddle bridge, three-way pickup selector, and master volume and tone controls.

It is in very good used condition for its age, with light marks, scratches and normal signs of play and handling. There are no obvious major cracks or structural issues, and it presents very well overall.

The pickups, controls, tuners and hardware are working as they should. Please inspect all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.

The guitar was sold to me in 2024 as a Fender Telecaster TL-52 SPL Micawber. It is not an official Keith Richards signature model.

The guitar will be supplied in a soft padded gig bag and carefully packaged inside a suitable outer guitar box for delivery.

Shipping: The delivery charge reflects the cost of tracked, insured transport, a proper guitar shipping box and substantial protective packaging. Although the guitar is supplied in a padded gig bag rather than a hard case, it will be firmly supported and protected inside the outer box. UK shipping is £70 and EU shipping is £145. EU buyers are responsible for any import VAT, customs duties and courier clearance charges applied in their country. Any significant difference between the amount charged and the final courier cost can be refunded.
