About This Model

The Pioneer MJ-D707 is a full-featured MiniDisc recorder/player deck designed for high-fidelity home audio use. It accepts digital signals via optical (TOSLINK) and coaxial inputs as well as analogue RCA, and outputs through the same optical and analogue connections plus a front-panel 6.3mm headphone jack. On the audio performance side it achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 101dB and total harmonic distortion of just 0.005%, with a frequency response of 8Hz-20kHz. A standout feature is Pioneer's Legato Link Conversion, which reconstructs frequencies up to 40kHz to compensate for ATRAC compression. Additional refinements include Pioneer's own digital noise reduction, a jog dial for quick navigation, CD Synchro recording with compatible Pioneer players, and a comprehensive suite of editing tools covering title programming, shuffle, repeat, A-to-B play, mono long play, and name-clip title copying.
