Robby Thunders, Bruno Pinkhof and John Sinclair Take the Top Three Places in the Oct 14 BEAT100 World Music Chart!

The October 14th BEAT100 World Music Chart winners have been chosen and, in the top #1 spot, we have Robby Thunders, followed by Bruno Pinkhof and John Sinclair. Congratulations to these phenomenal top three acts, and to the talented top ten.

We start with Robby Thunders, a seasoned guitarist and songwriter, with 30 plus years of experience under his belt. Inspired by the biggest names in songwriting (The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and more), mixed in with influences from signature rock and roll acts (Black Sabbath, Motorhead and The Ramones), Robby Thunders is a modern day rock god writing from the heart. Robby’s first love of music was stirred when singing in his church choir, and soon found his true passion in writing rock tunes after buying his first Kiss album. By 14, Robby was a familiar face on the Pittsburgh Punk Scene and starting writing and producing his own music. While Robby has been making music for many years, he sees this as his second career in the industry after a much-needed break due to health problems and an unexpected death of a close friend and fellow musician. After 10 years out of the game, Robby has made a strong come back and has an album coming out in August 2015. The resurrection of his music career is a huge achievement for this passionate guitarist, recovering from the devastation of losing his band member has made him a stronger, more determined musician and songwriter. Another of his achievements includes hitting the top spot in the BEAT100 music chart with his original song, "Stand Up, Choose Life", a feat made possible by voters on the site and his friend, Kat, who informed him about BEAT100. Robby originally visited the site to place a vote for a fellow act, but soon uploaded his own video and began building a loyal following; ‘BEAT100 has definitely taken my music to the next level! I can’t wait to get my next video up!’

In second place is Bruno Pinkhof, his heartfelt melodies and lyrics accompanied by an unique instrumentals have one him a place in the BEAT100 World Music Chart this week. While taking inspiration from songwriting greats The Beatles, Bruno is also inspired by Salsa and Caribbean music. His love for the tone of steel pans has given a distinctive edge to his sound and his use of the real instrument as opposed to programmed sounds creates a full and lively effect on each of his songs. Having already achieved radio play and a tour in Barbados, Bruno is a worthy winner this week, having achieved a plethora of BEAT100 awards in the past too; silver and bronze A&R song awards and multiple top ten placings. Bruno found BEAT100 through internet searches and told us, ‘it’s a great experience and a very professional site.’ We look forward to many more of this artist’s original songs and videos.

In third place is multi-instrumentalist, John Sinclair. His video for polished track ‘Broken Compass’ illustrates Sinclair’s dexterity on a variety of instruments. While his caramel vocal strikes the listener from the start, it is a pleasant surprise to see the star conquering the entire track’s instrumental accompaniment, and his talent is captivating. John Sinclair’s first steps in music were on the violin from the age of 7, and took to producing, writing and mastering many other instruments by 13. He was brought up in Seattle, Washington, and has been hard at work on pushing his music to new audiences; shooting his proficient video and writing high-energy Alt-pop that have received rave reviews online, including gold awards for his original song, 'Broken Compass', video quality and more on BEAT100. While looking for resources to further his music career, he found BEAT100 and has found it to be very useful; ‘BEAT100 has been a great outlet for my music, allowing others to hear me, and giving me a community of musicians to thrive in.’
