Established in 2005, the Texas Guitar Workshop is the place for the best guitar repair and custom instrument build outs in the Southwest United States.

For the past 27 years, the owner Kenny Kranzow has been repairing, restoring, and building Acoustic & Electric guitars, Basses, banjo’s, Mandolins, Dobro’s, Dulcimers, Baja sexto’s, Upright Basses, Violins, Fiddles, Sitars and just about anything with strings. From custom electronic work, to preamps and pickup installs, routing, guitar customizing, tuner replacement, neck & headstock repairs, acoustic wood/body cracks, bridge replacements and full on restorations, specializing in but not limited to, vintage instruments.

Kenny has just about any and all major company warranty certificates including, Fender, Jackson, Guild, Tobias, Gretch, Gibson Epiphone, Yamaha & Taylor to name a few. Before Larry Morgan Music, Kenny was Head Tech for Shane’s Guitar Repair in Richardson, Texas. Before Shane’s, he spent 3 ½ years at Mars Music in Dallas. Prior to Mars, he spent 3 years at the Brook Mays Pro Shop as a tech working for the legendary Kim Davis of “Point Blank” fame. Kim was the Manager of the guitar department for the longest time before moving onto the Head Sales Rep for the Peavy Corp.

Kenny has apprenticed at Fender, Martin, Gibson, Guild, and Peavey and has also worked with Don Wiggins at Fender, Jack Schwartz at Fender, Herbie Gastelum at Fender, Bob Harris at BH Guitars and Shane's Guitar Workshop, Robert "Bob" Benedetto at Benedetto Guitars, Bob Taylor at Taylor Guitars, and visited and learned from Ron Wickersham of the world famous Alembic Instruments

Kenny was a longtime friend of Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Vaughan family and much of his passion for guitar luthiery and repair came from being around his friend Steve.
