Scott started playing 5-string banjo at the age of 16 along with learning the guitar. He played in bluegrass and folk groups through the 70's and 80's in Northern California and the Midwest. While attending his undergraduate program he took an instructor position teaching 5-string banjo and began his training as a luthier at a certified Martin repair station. He collected many instruments over the years and began repairing and refurbishing a variety of stringed instruments. Today his collection has grown and he is now selling many of these items. He recently established this site to showcase his work and allow people to acquire a quality instrument at reasonable prices. He works closely with his daughter Shauna who assists with marketing and customer service. Our main goal is to provide not only the highest quality instruments to our customers but to also offer the most unique instruments available on the market. Each instrument is thoroughly inspected for structural integrity and cosmetic appearance. Our goal is to provide excellent customer satisfaction and to ensure each individual is satisfied with their purchase.
