About Rat Rod GuitarWorx

Rat Rod GuitarWorx is a subsiary of Canyon GuitarWorx and specialized is overstock, discontinued, and reconditioned used instruments. Our guitars come to us through many different avenues. When a guitar is returned at a retail store, or there's a cosmetic flaw found during manufacting, or a model is simply discontinued, the manufacturer sells these instruments in bulk to our wholesale company. From there, every instrument is inspected multiple times, and any cosmetic or playability issues are restored, and the guitar is sent off to be sold to the public.

Most of our guitars are in mint condition and appear to have never been played. If there is/was a cosmetic flaw, we'll show you photos and describe it, but those are rare in our inventory. All have been assigned a new serial number (as required by the manufacturer) to stop fraud. For example, you can buy a previous model year guitar that was discontinued, but that is in like-new condition. You could easily take it back to a retail store for a credit or cash return. The salesperson doesn't know the difference. And it's the manufacturer that ends up eating that loss. So, a new serial number is assigned and some models are also lightly stamped "Used" on the back of the headstock, and this prevents any clowns from trying to pull a fast one.

Killer guitars at a great value. Most of the time, you'll find that our guitars are the best deal on Reverb for the particualar guitar we're selling. We deal in volume and don't try to hit homeruns. Ask any questions. We're here to help.
