Use to work for the House of Guitars, as Tommy Brunette's (Immaculate Mary - Mirror Records) guitar tech. I started on B.C. Rich USA Warlock's, Kramer American Baretta's, Marshall amplifiers and BOSS effects.

I restore vintage amplifiers, rescue and restore 80's guitars, specializing in Starforce and Moridira. I strip all inferior components and upgrade them with USA or Japanese components. Korean Moridira bodies are good. Starforce guitars were built in Korea by Samick, some components were made by Squier. Skorcherz pickups were manufactured and rebranded by Wilkinson. These were hot Wilkinsons. Some Starforce bodies are 1\4 inch thinner and require a short block tremolo bridge (39mm). Starforce bridges are the worst I have ever seen, and the worst sounding. Replacing them requires some ingenuity. Mounting is 2 1\16, spacing is 2 1\16. The tremolo bridge hole is much smaller than normal.

Quality is more important than price.

I use 3 luthiers/builders:
+ Meanstreet Guitars (Florida) - EVH 80's style hard rock (amazing paint work);
+ Ed Roman (Las Vegas) - Pearlcasters (great building techniques, and hand rubbed necks).
+ k-robin (Rochester, NY) trained luthier, used to work for the Guitar Center.

If I buy a guitar for personal use, it is some form of a Meanstreet 5150 (shredder).

For tube amp service, I use NAU Engineering.

I typically use some combination of Killer Guitar Components, brass screw upgrades and tremolo bridges for strat builds.

For guitar bodies and necks I use Sound Guitar Works exclusively (Tacoma, WA).

If something has inferior parts, like Korean, or Indonesian, I typically recycle those parts.

I play Blackstar UK tube amps, upgraded British Spec cabinets (Marshall made in USA), and Blackstar pedals.

I don't use the US Postal Service, because it is completely broken. I ship domestically via UPS, or FEDEX.
