I am James Oliver and I live in Corpus Christi, Tx. I am a private seller. I was the Director of Oliver's Village Gallery located in The Village Center in Corpus Christi from 1982 to 2001. I have represented artists from R.C. Gorman to Frank Howell and sold fine contemporary art to a national customer base and through Sothebys in NYC. I have been interested in home recording as a hobby since the 1980s and have, from time to time, enjoyed working in my home-based recording studio. I am still enjoying songwriting and recording for my non-monetized youtube channel "james moreland oliver". I actually made two 45 singles back in 1970 with some great friends as the James Oliver Freedom Band. One of my records "Peliponesiane" on the "Discovery" label sold on Ebay for $66! Search the band name in quotes and you can find a link that shows the sale. I couldn't believe it when I found out. When a musician from Austin let me know about the sale of my old record I started turning the house upside down searching for the box of 50 records I was given by the producer. I found one old copy! My second record "Jail Train" I can't find anywhere and I've searched. It may be totally lost and I can't even find a tape of it. Since my records weren't big sellers (or even "good sellers") when released, they are apparently now considered collectible Texas garage band 45s by certain collectors of the genre. Go figure! I was "jamesarts" on ebay for more than ten years and worked diligently to establish a stellar feedback record there as a seller of fine art and other sundry items. But I got really tired of the continual increases in fees and more and more restrictions, micromanagement, etc., so I was really happy to find Reverb. I am a very meticulous person and I am careful to be totally frank and accurate with the description of my items. I also pack very well. Please understand that with ongoing increases in shipping costs it's too much trouble and expense to ship items back and forth and for this reason, I do not accept returns on my items. If you check my feedback on Ebay you'll see I'm totally dedicated to doing the best job I possibly can for my buyers. And I do price things to sell and sell quickly. Every customer is very important to me and I suppose that is one main key to the artist and also client loyalty and repeat business I have enjoyed.
