In the event of shipping damage a Reverb Safe Shipping claim will be made. I purchase Reverb Safe Shipping on every amp or guitar I sell. If an item arrives not as described, it was damaged in shipping. I check every item I sell before I list it for sale and again before I ship it. I won’t sell an item that is not exactly as I described it in the listing. Reverb Safe Shipping protects the seller and buyer by either repairing the damaged item or refunding the buyer. Please understand that this means I will not refund you. Instead we will use the Safe Shipping protection I purchased and the repair or refund will come through Reverb.

Used guitars or amps will be player grade unless noted as collector grade. A collector grade vintage instrument or amp can sell for 2-4 times the price of the same thing that is player grade. Please don't expect a collector grade instrument at player grade price. It is normal for player grade vintage guitars to have some some cosmetic flaws in the clear coat or even the paint layer. Knobs, frets and the fretboard can show wear and there will probably be some belt buckle rash on the guitar. Expect that. Known flaws will be disclosed in my descriptions and photos. I disclose everything I know about but it is possible that I don't catch everything. If you are worried about anything ASK ME FOR CLOSE UP PHOTOS. I want you to be happy with your purchase. I'd rather not make a sale than have someone unhappy or want to return an item. If you are super nit-picky about minor things, ASK FOR PHOTOS, buy in-person or better yet, buy a brand new guitar. Don't buy a used players grade guitar.

Regarding player grade vintage amps.....similar situation as the guitars described above but complicated by old electronics. Old electronics such as capacitors and resistors wear out. At some point, vintage amps need to be serviced. An amp that was working perfectly when it left my shop or studio could arrive damaged or go bad a week after you receive the amp. If that ever happens, nothing shady is going on. It is simply a part in an old amp that got bounced around in transit or just wore as a result of being old. I pack the heck out of my gear. Look at my reviews. Despite that, "stuff" can happen. If it does, we'll work together with Reverb to figure it out. Old vintage player grade amps can be a little noisy (though I have some that are dead quiet). Ask me for video of the amp at idle and while I'm playing through it if that is of interest or concern. I am happy to do it. It is wise to ask all questions upfront and achieve clarity rather than expect me to see things your way after the fact. What is important to one person may not even be noticed by another...
