The instruments with which you experience a bond can teach you a lot about yourself. I like old beaten up and cast off things. I don’t like new things, fakes, posers, or copies, a few major repairs are OK even if they are not well executed. I like instruments that have seen hard times, and a few modifications don’t bother me. Also, I like instruments that sometimes stink a little bit. I’ve often found myself drawn to people of the same ilk. For years I've had an obsession with stringed instruments. This enthusiasm now manifests itself in a passion for putting the right instrument in the hands of the right person.
