I have been in the music industry … well since I started playing drums and guitar at age 12, but really my career has been thru various major recording studios and record labels as a tracking/mixing/mastering engineer and producer/ artist development. I’ve been both small and large parts of many successful projects go on to win some major awards and sell millions of records across every genre you can think of. I am a firm believer in understanding your equipment and gear down to the electron and an equally firm believer that none of that matters without the human need to express themselves artistically. Your art can be playing piano, building guitar pedals and routing consoles , or writing poetic lyrics, and getting them to be felt thru the mic… I like to be the bridge that’s necessary between all of that and what happens between electrons thru a transformer or the the tension between two notes it all depends on understanding what makes a piece of equipment special . So I hunt for unique gear solutions to expand musical freedom. I learn the circuits snd signal flow that creates emotion. That requires buying and selling a vast assortment of gear endlessly and learning to translate what it can and can’t do. Then I stir it all up and try to make music. I think you might know all of that as an affliction called GAS. Because in summary, I’m addicted to gear, especially the rare, the weird, the ones that defined an era…. and sometimes I just need a new roll of gaff tape, so Reverb is where it all crosses paths. I buy a lot, and I sell a lot. Not for profit, but for knowledge … which leads to money.. i think. let’s just say I’m a gear hunter and a resource of knowledge about all that gear. in orher words , I’m a big addict so check reverb often cause is the gateway drug that takes me from an SM 57 and a Squire guitar and turns into a 200 mic mix locker and endless channels of preamps and compressors and guitars and drum kits. blah blah .. let the commerce begin!
