Welcome to a Big River Guitars! We specialize in building custom guitars using only the best possible components we can find. All of our guitars are painted using nitrocellulose lacquer, and all of our colors are custom mixed in shop. Currently we offer four different models; The Izabella S-Style, The Moses T-Style, The Grace Offset style, and The Liam Birdcaster. We’ve also started building a series of guitars known as “The Birds”. These guitars are all Firebird hybrids; The Birdcaster is a Tele/FB, The Birdmaster is part FB/Jazzmaster, and the DirtyBird is a FB/LP/Telecaster. We also build several custom one off guitars each month.
Our specialty is aged, vintage inspired guitars.
All of our guitars are built by hand and we absolutely love what we do and believe it shows in the finished product. Our goal is to create the best possible custom guitar with the best possible components that feels, plays and sounds incredible, but doesn’t have to carry the price tag of boutique custom instrument.
One part of our business that has exploded over the past few years is our custom orders and we are incredibly grateful for it. This currently adds up to about 50% of our business, with numerous customers on their second and third Big River Custom builds as well of you guys out there with four and five. We are experts at helping you bring that perfect guitar you have in your head out into the real world, ready to play and within the budget you have in mind. One thing we do differently is that we only charge for labor. We don’t jack up prices on parts, The components cost what the components cost.
