I took my first job in a guitar shop at the age of 17. I started working for Fender as a marketing rep at 22, and at 25 became the youngest (and possibly shortest lived) District Sales Manager in Fender’s history. Since 2009, I’ve made my living playing live music for children and their families in Portland, OR as “Mr. Ben.”
I’m neither a professional flipper nor a collector. All the instruments I own, I bought because I fell in love with some aspect of how they play or sound, or just because it was a tool that I needed to fulfill a specific role.
I’m not an expert in any particular field, but I do have a broad knowledge of guitars and related products, having worked at times as a: full time musician, repair tech., salesman, product specialist, and teacher for 25 years. Everything I sell will be as described — I will stand behind everything I say and everything I sell.
