I have been a passionately bad guitarist for 45 years, but have become a really good and passionate luthier. It all stems from a love of guitars, and particularly electrics, their majesty, power, sensitivity and grace, every guitar must be as resonant and toneful as it can be, that delivers inspiration and joy.
Every guitar I design and build is a one off, utterly unique instrument, each the only one in the world.
Designing and crafting guitars is a labour of love, and while my own designs have clear echoes of others, each one is effectively a custom made instrument, Getting the most from the core woods, I also use a wide range of different ingredients, copper, engraving, metal foils, inlays, wood dyes and my own varnishes for French polishing.
