Free shipping will automatically be applied when a buyer purchases items from your shop that are at or above the dollar threshold you have set. Buyers will see a progress bar in their carts, letting them know how much more they need to spend to receive free shipping from your shop.
How should I determine my Threshold amount?
While your Threshold amount is ultimately up to you, we'll provide a recommendation based on your shop's average order value over the last several months.
Our research shows that setting your Threshold 20% above your median order value is the optimal strategy to encourage checkout growth.
How do Thresholds work when I'm shipping internationally?
Thresholds are currently only available for domestic shipments, meaning buyers located outside of your shop's country will not be eligible for free shipping based on the threshold you create.
Can I use Thresholds if my shop already uses Combine & Save?
Yes, shops can utilize both shipping features at the same time. When a buyer purchases from a shop with both Thresholds and Combine & Save, free shipping will always be applied to standard orders if your shop's threshold has been met. If the threshold has not been met, the normal Combine & Save rates will be applied.
