Thursday, December 8, 2016 - Today, Reverb.com - the online marketplace for buying, selling, and learning about music gear - was selected as a Chicago Inno 50 on Fire Award winner in the B2C category. The annual awards show honors the people and organizations, operating at every level and corner of Chicago’s ecosystem, that are heating up the city’s innovation economy.
“At Reverb, innovation is in our DNA. The opportunity to challenge the status quo and come up with new ways to make our music gear marketplace better is what makes us excited to come to work each day,” said David Kalt, CEO and Founder of Reverb.com. “We’re thrilled to be acknowledged as a key contributor to Chicago’s innovation economy and honored to be recognized among such an incredible list of companies and individuals.”
According to Chicago Inno, Chicago is one of the most diversified economies in the world, with no single industry employing more than 14 percent of the workforce. The 50 on Fire awards were created to celebrate the city’s eclectic mix of startups, categories, entrepreneurs, enterprise tech companies, STEM organizations, universities and more that make up the ecosystem.
Reverb.com was one of three companies selected as a winner in the B2C category. In total, fifty winners were selected from hundreds of applicants across B2B, B2C, civic, education, lifestyle and marketing/advertising/design/development. To view the complete list of winners, visit Chicago Inno.
