Overview
Meticulously built in South Windsor, Connecticut, the new Telefunken U47 is a marvelous recreation of the original German mics, sporting the sound and look at about half the price of the vintage mics. Using a modern M7 capsule and the VF14k (a glass tube in a metal enclosure, a drop-in replacement for the original VF14M tubes), the contemporary U47 shines a huge spotlight on any sound you put in front of it, particularly amazing on lead vocals and upright bass.
