About this listing
Old Blood Noise Endeavors — Dark Light (Dual Reverb) — Limited edition, 2000 units worldwideTwo cult reverbs, one single pedal. With the Dark Light, Old Blood Noise Endeavors (OBNE to its friends) brings together its two flagship reverbs in a single enclosure: the Dark Star and the Sunlight, combined in a brilliantly designed pedal. Even better, the Dark Light lets you run both reverbs at the same time, with even deeper control over each of them.Limited run: only 2000 units of the Dark Light were ever produced, which already makes it a highly sought-after and hard-to-find pedal.Condition & what's includedPedal in excellent condition, sold complete with its original box, pouch and goodies. The conceptThe Sunlight and Dark Star by Old Blood Noise Endeavors are rather unusual reverbs:The Sunlight generates lush, highly ambient comb-modulated reverb. The Dark Star delivers pitch-shifted reverbs with delay, degraded by a bit crusher. At the end of 2023, OBNE had the idea of merging both pedals to create the ultimate dual reverb: the Dark Light features both circuits along with all of their controls. The controlsThe pedal is split into two distinct halves, each dedicated to one reverb, with its own Decay, Dry and Wet controls — allowing you to dial in the dry/wet balance with great precision and set each reverb's decay time independently.Dark Star side: CTRL1 and CTRL2 knobs, assignable to different parameters (Pitch, Delay or Bit Crusher).Sunlight side: delay, comb filter and bandpass filter controls.Spread: blends the two reverbs into one another.Creative featuresThe centre footswitch generates continuous reverb tails for as long as you hold it down — a seriously original and creative effect. It works with a three-position toggle so you can sustain the tails of one reverb or both at once.An expression input lets you control any combination of CTRL1, CTRL2, Decay, Rate and Depth. Finally, for maximum flexibility and versatility, each reverb has its own input and output (series, parallel, stereo or separate effects-loop routing…).In shortIf you're after a truly original, versatile, inspiring, musical and creative reverb, the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Dark Light is for you. And with only 2000 units ever made, it's a genuine collector's piece.
