Overview
Continuing the legacy of Melodium, a French company founded by Charles Bouteleau and Émile Furn in 1928 and closed in 1987, the Kerwax team have worked towards the rebirth of the mythical Melodium 42B ribbon microphone. Taking advantage of the original AlNiCo 600 magnets technology and the largest ribbon ever made, the new Melodium 42Bn is a retake and an optimization of the 80 years old 42B design. Today’s precision technology has enabled to optimize and improve all mechanical work involved in the microphone building. As a result, the new 42Bn assembly is now at its best.
