About this listing
Vintage Ludwig 6.5x14” Supraphonic LM402 Snare Drum circa 1979The performance-proven Ludwig Supraphonic LM402 snare drum was the first choice of legendary drummer John Bonham and can be heard on most of Led Zeppelin's classic recordings. Famous for its bright, crisp attack, thanks to a chrome-plated, seamless beaded aluminum shell, the LM402 provides you with a sublime balance of full, cavernous tone and cutting snare crack. Key Features:Rounded blue/olive badge, 7-digit serial (late 1970s-80s)Adjustable Tone ControlImperial LugsTriple Flanged HoopsChrome-plated aluminum shellNew Remo batter and resonant headsCondition:Drum is in good , player-grade shape with a lot of cosmetic imperfections like pitting, scratches, flaking and/or other signs of wear consistent with use and age. Lots of light scratches, small pitting all around—including a couple tiny spots that may be flaking, that are all hard to catch in photos being a mirrored surface. Rims have a number of oxidized scratches and marks. Overall it’s a solid drum, but on closer inspection a lot of aesthetic flaws are visible.
