About this listing
The Joyo JF-07 is a direct circuit clone of the legendary Ibanez FL9 Flanger (originally released in the 1980s).Like the original FL9, the Joyo uses analog BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) circuitry. This gives it a warm, organic, liquid-like character rather than the sterile sound of digital flangers. Because it shares the FL9 layout, it is incredibly versatile: it can pull off subtle, watery chorus effects, classic Van Halen jet-plane swooshes, and even rapid, trembling vibrato sounds.Interestingly, the Joyo circuit is known to have a slightly wider sweep range than a stock vintage Ibanez FL9, allowing it to easily push into wild self-oscillation when the controls are maxed out.## Technical SpecificationsModel: JF-07 Classic FlangerCircuitry: 100% Analog (Bucket Brigade)Bypass: True Bypass (Ensures zero tone-suck when the pedal is switched off)Enclosure: Heavy-duty aluminum alloy with a white stoving varnish finishInput Impedance: 500 kΩOutput Impedance: 10 kΩDelay Time Range: 0.9 ms – 6.4 msSpeed Range: 0.4 Hz – 8 HzCurrent Draw: 20 mA (Very battery-friendly)Power Requirement: 9V DC Center-Negative barrel plug (Standard guitar pedal power supply) or a 9V batteryDimensions: 120 mm (L) x 97 mm (W) x 55 mm (H)Weight: 390g## Knob Functions ExplainedREGEN (Regeneration): Controls the amount of feedback fed back into the circuit. Turning this up makes the effect sharper, more metallic, and more pronounced.DELAY TIME: Adjusts the baseline delay of the modulated signal. This alters the overall color, pitch depth, and frequency focus of the "whoosh."WIDTH: Determines the intensity and range of the sweep. At zero, it acts like a fixed filter matrix; maxed out, it sweeps across the full sonic spectrum.SPEED: Controls how fast the flanger modulates up and down. Low settings create slow, dramatic waves, while high settings create fast, shimmering textures.
