Overview

The Les Paul Studio launched in 1983 as an affordable no-frills take on the classic Les Paul design. Like other Les Pauls, the Studio uses two humbuckers and a combination of a carved Maple top on a Mahogany body.  Unlike other Les Pauls, the Studio lacks any sort of binding on the fingerboard or body. The Les Paul Studio Shred was part of a 2012 limited run and features a Floyd Rose locking tremolo on top of standard Studio specifications.

Years of Production: 2012

Wood Composition: Mahogany body, carved Maple top, Rosewood fingerboard

Design Elements: Two humbucker pickups, four control knobs, trapezoid inlays, Floyd Rose locking tremolo

Notable Les Paul Players: Marc Bolan, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons
  • Available in Ebony and Vintage Sunburst
  • Rereleased in 2014 with a Flame Maple Top
