The 2007 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Reissue (R9) is an exacting recreation of the 1959 Les Paul. It features a premium figured maple top, lightweight mahogany body, a long neck tenon, a '59 rounded neck profile, Burstbucker pickups, and vintage-style hardware.
Body Wood:
Lightweight, solid mahogany back with a carved, figured maple top (often AAA or AAAA grade)
Neck Wood:
1-piece mahogany with a long neck tenon for superior sustain
Neck Profile:
Authentic 1959 rounded "C" shape (chunky but very comfortable, larger than a '60 and slightly smaller than a '58)
Fingerboard:
Rosewood with aged cellulose nitrate/acrylic trapezoid inlays
